<br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A TWO HUNDRED FIFTY THOUSAND DOLLAR
<br />($250,000.00) APPROPRIATION TO THE MOTOR POOL FUND~ AN EIGHT
<br />HUNDRED FORTY THOUSAND SIX HUNDRED DOLLAR ($840,600.00) APPRO-
<br />PRIATION TO THE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FUND; FINDING COMPLIANCE
<br />WITH THE OPEN MEETINGS LAW~ AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE
<br />HEREOF.
<br />
<br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE:
<br />
<br />Section 1. The City Council of the City of La Porte hereby
<br />
<br />finds, determines and declares that total unreserved and un-
<br />
<br />designated funds at September 21, 1983, totaled TWO MILL"ION TWO
<br />
<br />HUNDRED EIGHTY-EIGHT THOUSAND SIX HUNDRED DOLLARS ($2,288,600.00).
<br />
<br />Section 2. The City Council of the City of La Porte hereby
<br />
<br />appropriates from said unreserved and undesignated fund balance,
<br />
<br />the sum of TWO HUNDRED FIFTY THOUSAND DOLLARS ($250,000.00) to
<br />
<br />the Motor Pool Fund, and the sum of EIGHT HUNDRED FORTY THOUSAND
<br />SIX HUNDRED DOLLARS ($840,600.00) to the Capital Improvement
<br />
<br />Fund.
<br />
<br />Section 3. The Ci ty Council off icially finds, determines,
<br />
<br />recites and declares that a sufficient written notice of the
<br />
<br />date, hour, place and subject of this meeting of the City Council
<br />
<br />was posted at a place convenient to the public at the City Hall
<br />
<br />of the City for the time required by law preceding this meeting,
<br />
<br />as required by the Open Meetings law, Article 6252-17, Texas
<br />
<br />Revised Civil Statutes Annotated; and that this meeting has been
<br />
<br />open to the public as required by law at all times during which
<br />
<br />this ordinance and the subject matter thereof has been discussed,
<br />
<br />considered and formally acted upon.
<br />
<br />The City Council further
<br />
<br />ratifies, approves and confirms such written notice and the
<br />
<br />contents and posting thereof.
<br />
<br />Section 4. This Resolution shall be effective immediately
<br />upon its passage and approval.
