r ~ ORDINANCE NO. 1400 AN ORDINANCE FINDING THAT THE TERRITORY COMPRISING THE COLLEGE VIEW MUNICIPAL UTILITY DISTRICT HAS BEEN FINALLY ANNEXED TO THE CITY OF LA PORTE; DISSOLVING THE LEGAL EXISTENCE OF THE COLLEGE VIEW MUNICIPAL UTILITY DISTRICT AT THE CLOSE OF BUSINESS ON MARCH 27, 1984; FINDING COMPLIANCE WITH THE OPEN MEETINGS LAW; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE: Section 1. The City Council of the City of La Porte hereby • finds, determines, and declares that the City of La Porte has heretofore, by passage of its Ordinance No. 1393 on December 28, 1983, finally annexed to the City of La Porte, all- of the terri- tory comprising the College View Municipal Utility District. Section 2. The City Council of the City of La Porte hereby dissolves the corporate existence of the College View Municipal Utility District, effective at the close of business on March 27, 1984. The City of La Porte shall assume all assets, and all legal liabilities, of the College View Municipal Utility District, effective March 28, 1984. Section 3. The City Council officially finds, determines, LJ recites and declares that a sufficient written notice of the date, hour, place and subject of this meeting of the City Council was posted at a place convenient to the public at the City Hall of the City for the time required by law preceding this meeting, as required by the Open Meetings Law, Article 6252-17, Texas Revised Civil Statutes Annotated; and that this meeting has been open to the public as required by law at all times during which this ordinance and the subject matter thereof has been discussed, considered and formally acted upon. The City Council further ratifies, approves and confirms such written notice and the contents and posting hereof. •
