<br />• <br />PIPELINE ~~iP~I'r REC~UIREMENTS <br />(Ord. N915) <br />1. Permit required if: new or replacement pipeline laid across, <br />along, or under any public place, ie: street, r.o.w., park, etc. <br />2. Permit granted by ordinance. Ordinance shall state which streets <br />or public property pipeline runs across or along, and the point(s) <br />of contact. <br />3. Depths required: four (4) feet from natural ground to two of pipe, <br />unless (1) street crossings must be six (6) feet and, (2) Ditch and <br />drainage crossings must be three (3) feet from the bottom of the <br />ditch/drainage structure. <br />~+. Applicant must submit to Director of Public Works plans accurately <br />showing location, course, and alignment of pipeline, a written <br />letter requesting passage of ordinance, including time, manner, <br />means, and methods of construction, commodity to be transported, <br />maximum pressure and temperature. <br />• <br />Plan shall show all proposed street crossings. Two copies <br />of plan and application to be submitted to Director of Public <br />Works. <br />5. Fees: Permit fee - $300.00 <br />Annual Fee - $200.00 <br />6. All street crossings shall be bored and cased. Permittee will <br />hold harmless the City from liability for injury or damage to <br />any person or property caused by actions of permittee. Permittee <br />shall pay all damages caused to the City by actions of permittee. <br />7. Provide three (3) maps, showing as-built route, distances and shut- <br />off valve locations, together with name and address of owner and <br />telephone number of at least one (1) officer or person available on <br />twenty-four (24) hour basis for emergency information and action. <br />Maps are to be filed with Building Official, who will distribute <br />copies to Fire and Public Works Department. Any change in twenty- <br />four (2~) hour contact information shall be immediately reported to <br />the Fire Department. <br />8. Pipeline signs denoting ownership shall be placed at all street <br />crossings and as needed. <br />• <br />
