Public Works Director <br />SUBJECT: Traf is Signal Repairs <br />Per you~'request, I have researched the invoices of Traffic <br />Maintenance and Construction, the City's traffic signal <br />contractor, to determine the extent of repairs done that could <br />be done by City crews. The invoices were for the period from <br />September 1984 through July 1985. <br />Individual intersection cost sheets pulled were those for bulb <br />replacement, lens replacement, and alignment. For the period of <br />the research, the total amount billed for all signal maintenance <br />is $50,198.70. This amount also includes the emergency <br />replacement and repairs of the signal and controller at Highway <br />146 and Harbours Cut. This one incident cost in excess of <br />$15,000. <br />The total amount billed during this period for bulb and lens <br />replacement, and signal alignment is $4,006.46. Subtracting the <br />cost of materials, the total labor charge for this period is <br />$3,620.34. Material totaled $386.12. The average charge to <br />change out bulbs is $88.78. <br />If you should have any question, please advise. <br />SG/me <br />
