<br />e <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />THE STATE OF TEXAS ~ <br />~ <br />COUNTY OF HARRIS ~ <br /> <br />AMENDMENT TO LEASE <br /> <br />THIS AGREEMENT, entered into by and between the City of La Porte, <br /> <br />Harris County, Texas, hereinafter called "City" and Cliff Hyde Flying <br /> <br />Service, Inc., a Texas business corporation, hereinafter called <br /> <br />"Lessee": <br /> <br />I. <br /> <br />For and in consideration of the premises, and the mutual covenants <br /> <br />herein contained, the parties agree to the amendment of an Agreement <br /> <br />of Lease between the parties dated July 6, 1956, as amended November <br /> <br />4, 1963. Except as amended hereby, said Lease Agreement, as amended, <br /> <br />shall remain in full force and effect until July 6, 1997. <br /> <br />II. <br /> <br />Lessee hereby releases and quitclaims to City, for use by City <br /> <br />in constructing a tie-down area for aircraft, that certain 0.2506 <br /> <br />acre tract of land, more particularily described by metes and bounds <br /> <br />on Exhibit "A" attached hereto, incorporated by reference herein and <br /> <br />made a part hereof for all purposes. In consideration of such release <br /> <br />and quitclaim, City agrees that Lessee's annual rental, due and <br /> <br />payable on July 6, 1986, and on the same day of each calendar year <br /> <br />thereafter, for the balance of the term of the lease, shall be <br /> <br />abated and reduced by the sum of $109.16 each year. <br /> <br />As further consideration for such release and quitclaim, City <br /> <br />grants and gives to Lessee, an option, in the form of a right of <br /> <br />first refusal upon thirty (30) days written notice from City to <br />
