<br />e <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />~ ......... <br /> <br />Flow calculations for 100 year flood event - Drainage Area' A10407A <br />(HCFCD) <br /> <br />The following calculations show the increase of flow from a 100 <br />year flood event in the HCFCD ditch A10407 caused by the <br />development of a proposed landfill in LaPorte, Texas. <br /> <br />Drainage Area A10407A = 1604.2 acres <br />Q100 (for 100% developed land) = 2800 cfs (refer to area <br />discharge curve) <br />Q100 (for 0% developed land) = 1110 cfs <br />Proposed Landfill - 80 acres (presently undeveloped) <br /> <br />In order to be conservative it was assumed that the 80 acres to - <br />be used for a landfill was the only undeveloped land in area <br />A10407A. <br /> <br />Before landfill: 80 acres undeveloped (95% developed) <br />Q100 = 0.95 (2800) + 0.05 (1110) = 2716 cfs <br /> <br />After landfill: (100% developed) <br />QlOO = 2800 cfs <br /> <br />'.
