For the purpose of this Contract, the original record or reading of the main meter shall be the journal or other record book of Authority in its off ice in which the records of the employees or agents of Authori ty who take the reading are or may be transcribed. Upon written request of any of the Participants, the Authority will provide a copy of such journal or record book, or permi t them to have access to the same in the office of Authority during reasonable business hours. Sect ion 5.02 Cal ibrat ion of Meters Once each Fi scal Year, on a date as near the end of such Fiscal Year as practicable, the Authority shall calibrate its meters at each point of delivery (and if requested in writing by the receiving Participant, in the presence of a represen- tative of such receiving Participant), and the parties shall jointly '. observe any adjustments which are made to the meter in case any adjust- ments shall be necessary, and if the check meter hereinafter provided for has been installed, the same shall also be calibrated by the re- ce i v ing Partic ipan t in the presence of a representa t i ve of Author i ty and the parties shall jointly observe any adjustment in case any adjustment is necessary. If the City shall in .writing request the Authority to calibrate its meter and the Authority shall give to the City forty-eight (48) hours wri t ten notice of the time when any such calibration is to be made and a representative of the City is not present at the time set, the Authority may proceed with calibration and adjustment in the absence of any representative of City. Section 5.03 Testing of Meters. If the City or the Authority at any time observes a variation between a main delivery meter and the check meter, if any such check meter shall be installed, such party -18-
