Albrecht Department: Community Deve, <br />XXX Report <br />Exhibits: <br />Resolution <br />Ordinance <br />Memo from City Engineer <br />Exhibit A - Recommended Spenwick Place Subdivision <br />Street Lighting Layout <br />SUMMARY & RECOMMENDATION <br />SPENWICK PARK SUBDIVISION LIGHTING <br />In fulfilling the terms of the annexation of Spenwick Place <br />Subdivision the City is required to install street lights <br />that would provide a level of service similar to the service <br />provided other areas of the City. <br />Houston Lighting & Power Company submitted a draft layout <br />for Staff's consideration. Staff has reviewed the plan and <br />recommends the layout shown in Exhibit A. The layout would <br />provide a level of service similar to other residential areas <br />in La Porte. <br />The recommended installation includes 36 lights placed on <br />ornamental poles and the placement of 13 lights on existing <br />wooden poles. <br />The operational cost for the installation shown in Exhibit A <br />will be $661.85 per month and $7942.20 per year based on <br />current H L & P charges. <br />charges from HL & P. <br />Action Required by Council: <br />Approval of recommended plan and have City Manager authorize <br />Houston Lighting & Power to begin installation according to <br />the recommended layout. <br />Availability of Funds: <br />XX _ General Fund <br />Capital Improvement <br />Other <br />Account Number: <br />Water/Wastewater <br />General Revenue Sharing <br />Funds Available: _ YES _ NO <br />A r City Council Agenda <br />e8 <br />.
