Box 1 1 15 <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />LAPORTE,TEXAS77572-1115 <br /> <br />March 27, 1990 <br /> <br />Honorable Mayor Norman Malone and City Council <br />City of La Porte <br /> <br />RE: International Cargo Network Inc.: <br />Permit Request SCU90-002 <br /> <br />Special Conditional Use <br /> <br />Dear Mayor Malone: <br /> <br />The La Porte Planning and Zoning Commission, at its March <br />22, 1990, Public Hearing and regular meeting, considered Special <br />Conditional Use Permit Request 'SCU90-002. The purpose of this <br />request, which has been submitted by International Cargo Network, <br />is to allow the development of an Industrial Planned Unit <br />Development. The proposed complex is to consist of offices, a <br />refrigerated (frozen food) warehouse with truck and rail loading <br />docks, a container staging area, and an employee's park. The <br />complex is to occupy an approximately 32.5 acre tract which is <br />located on the east side of North Broadway between Barbour's Cut <br />Blvd. and the East Adams Street right-of-way. (A complete legal <br />description is included in the attached staff report). <br /> <br />The Commission has recommended that the applicant's Special <br />Conditional Use Permit, if approved, have the following <br />conditions attached. <br /> <br />Special Conditions <br /> <br />1) The Barbours Cut Driveway entrance be a minimum of <br />thirty (30) feet wide. <br /> <br />2) The applicants shall dedicate a twenty (20) feet wide <br />utility easement along the eastern boundary of North <br />Broadway. This easement shall run north/south along <br />the entire length of the I.C.N. tract. <br /> <br />3) A thirty (30) feet landscaped setback area shall be <br />developed on the southern and eastern faces of the <br />staging area. Landscaping shall be developed in <br />accordance with a landscape plan which is to be <br />approved by the Director of Community Development. <br />
