Herrera Department: Administration <br />XXX Report <br />Resolution <br />Exhibits: 1. 1990-91 LPAWA Operating Budget <br />SUMMARY & RECOMMENDATION <br />Ordinance <br />The La Porte Area Water Authority Board of Directors approved the <br />Authority's 1990-91 Operating Budget at its regular meeting held on July <br />10, 1990. The budget would take effect beginning October 1, 1990 and <br />ending on September 30, 1991. The enabling legislation requires all <br />actions of the Authority be approved by the City Council of the City of La <br />Porte. <br />The 1990-91 LPAWA Operating Budget is for a total of one million, five <br />hundred and twenty thousand, one hundred and thirty-four dollars <br />($1,520,134.), a decrease of $79,866. from the 1989-90 budget of <br />$1,600,000. This decrease is attributable to the elimination of the one- <br />time charge of $115,000,. in the 89-90 budget to repay the City of La Porte <br />for prior years' operation and maintenance costs incurred before the <br />Authority was fully funded and operational. The only other line item to <br />change from the 89-90 budget is the purchase of water from the Southeast <br />Water Purification Plant.
