<br />AN ORDINANCE VACATING, ABANDONING AI~, CLOSING A PORTION OF SOUTH
<br />17TH STREET, IN THE TOWN OF LA ~'O~TE,,~~HARRIS COUNTY, TEXAS; FINDING
<br />COMPLIANCE WITH THE OPEN MEETINGS LAW.; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE
<br />DATE HEREOF.
<br />WHEREAS, the City Council,of the City of La Porte has been
<br />requested by record owner of all 4f the property abutting the
<br />hereinafter described portion of youth 17th Street, in the Town of
<br />La Porte, Harris County, Texas ,, to vacate, abandon, and permanently
<br />close that portion of South 17th Street; and

<br />WHEREAS, the City Counci~d of, the;~fCity of La Porte has

<br />determined and does hereby find., detel~lmine and declare that the
<br />hereinafter described portion of SoutF 17th Street, Town of La

<br />Section 1. Under and by virtue:~of the power granted to the
<br />City of La Porte under its Home Ru1e~Charter and Chapter 13, Title
<br />28, Article 1175, of the Revised Civii Statutes of the State of
<br />Texas, 1925, the hereinafter described portion of South 17th Street,
<br />Town of La Porte, Harris County, Texas, is hereby permanently

<br />vacated, abandoned and closedby the City of La Porte, to-wit:
<br />Being that portion of ,,.the right-of-way of South 17th Street,
