The committee revieured a request by Mr. Lynn Pfeiffer, <br />(Pfeiffer & Son, Inc.), (SEE LETTER DATED FEBRUARY 22, 1991 <br />TO FIRE MARSHAL PAUL. HICI~ENLiOTTOM) . <br />After review and discussion of the request, the committee <br />approved the following Faire Code change dealing with the <br />request.: <br />ARTICLE 16 , DIVISION ?. , S1?CTION 16. 1'l , SUii-SECTION ( A ) <br />CHANGE FROM: The storage of flammable liquids in above- <br />ground tanks is prohibited in the City <br />Limits of La Porte. <br />CHANGE T0: The storage of flammable liquids in above- <br />ground tanlts shall be approved and <br />installed as per Fire Code Review Cornrnittee <br />requirements. <br />MOTION TO APPROVE: Young/ Second: I-Iancly <br />YES VOTES RECEIVED: Westergren, I-randy, B~~wder, Young, <br />Daniels <br />NO VOTES RECEIVED: 0 <br />MOTION CARRIED <br />4. Fire Marshal Hickenbottom requested permission, (GRANTED), <br />to make the following administrative changes to: <br />ARTICLE 16. DIVISION 2, SECTION 16.12, StTi3-SECTIONS A & B <br />REMOVE FROM SUB-SECTIODT A: <br />The storage of combustible liquids in aboveground tan)cs <br />shall be prohibited in Fire Zones 1 & 2. <br />RE-WRITE SUB-SECTION B TO READ: <br />The storage of combustible liquids in aboveground tanks <br />shall be as per N.1~'.P.A. #30 requirements, or other <br />Fire Code Review Conunittee approved storage systems. <br />The following provisions; of this section shall apply <br />except where conflicts exists, the more restrictive <br />shall apply. <br />The reasons for the above changes are as follows: <br /> <br />1.
