RESOLUTION N0...9~.=,],~, <br />A RESOLUTION OF TlIE CITY COUNCIL OF TILE CITY OF LA PORTE,TEXAS, ADOPTING TILE 1991 <br />APPRAISAL ROLL OF Tl1E HARRIS COUNTY APPRAISAL DISTRICT. <br />WHEREAS, the City's Assessor and Collector of Taxes submitted to the City Council <br />for approval the 1991 tax appraisal roll; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council is of the opinion that the 1991 appraisal roll with tl~e <br />amounts shown therein should be adopted; <br />WHEREAS, The City's Assessor and Collector of Taxes has reported to the City <br />Council that there was situated in the City of La Porte, as of January 1, 1991, <br />property with a total appraised value of $1,021,726,050 and a total taxable value of <br />$935,652,310; <br />WHEREAS, new personal property added to the appraisal roll had a total taxable <br />value of $1,242,400 as of January 1, 1991; <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY TILE CITY COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF LA FORTE, THAT: <br />Section 1. THAT, the 1991 taxable roll in the amount of $935,652,310 is hereby <br />adopted; <br />Section 2. That the City Council officially finds, determines, recites and <br />declares that a sufficient written notice of the date, hour, place and subject of <br />this meeting of the City Council was posted at a place convenient to the public at <br />the offices of City of La Porte for the time required by law preceding this meeting, <br />as required by the Open Meetings Law, Article 6252-17, Texas Revised Civil Statutes <br />Annotated; and that this meeting has been open to the public as required by law at <br />all times during which this resolution and the subject matter thereof has been <br />discussed, considered and formally acted upon.
