INFORMATION FOR BIDDERS 1. RECEIPT AND OPENING OF BIDS The Gity of La Porte {hereinafter called the "Owner") , invites bids on the form attached hereto, all blanks of which must be appropriately filled in. Bids wi 11 be received by the Owr_er, at the office of Gity Secretary. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud in the Council Chambers. The envelopes containing the bids must be sealed, addressed to: City Secretary, POB 1115, La Porte, TX 77571 (physical address: 604 W Fairmont Parkway), and desigr_ated with bid number. The Owner may consider informal any bid not prepared and Submitted in accorda_Tce With the provisions hereof a_Td may waive ar_y informalities or reject a_ny ar_d all bids . Any b i d may be withdrawn prior to the above scheduled time for the opening of bids or authorized postponement thereof. Any bid received after the t i me and date specif i ed shall r_ot be considered. No bidder may withdraw a bid wi*_hin thirty (30 days after the actual date of the opening thereof. 2. PREPARATION OF BID Each bid must be submitted on the prescribed farm. All bla_~k spaces for bid prices must be filled in, in ink or tygewritten, in both words and figures, and must be fully completed and executed when submitted. Each bid must be submitted in a sewed envelope bearing on the outside the name of the bidder, his address, and the name of the project for which the bid is submitted. If forwarded by mail, the sealed envelope containing the bid must be enclosed in another envelope addressed as specified. in the bid form. 3. SUBCONTRACTS The bidder is specifically advised that any person., firm, or other party to whom it is proposed to award a subcontract under this contract must be acceptable to the Owner. 4. TELEGRAPHIC MODIFICATIONS Any bidder may modify his bid by telegraphic communication at any time prior to the scheduled closing time for receigt of bids, provided such telegraphic communication is received by
