Scott <br />Houston <br /> <br />Pau la Gomez <br />ownsville <br /> <br />March 3, 1992 <br /> <br />Re: 501 West Main <br />LaPorte, Texas 77571 <br /> <br />CITY MANAGERS <br />OFFICE <br /> <br />Dear Mr. Herrera, <br /> <br />I received your documentation regarding leasing space at 501 West <br />Main, LaPorte, Texas. <br /> <br />The Texas Department of Human Services is interested in leasing <br />this space and appreciates the interest and effort demonstrated <br />by yourself, Mayor MaIone, Senator Chet Brooks, Reverend Lewis, <br />and several other interested members of your community. <br /> <br />The General Services Commission is the leasing agent for State <br />Agencies in the State of Texas. A representative from General <br />Services will have to sign the lease. <br /> <br />I have enclosed a Negotiated Lease which is a standard lease form <br />used by this agency when negotiating contracts with other <br />governmental entities, such as cities like the City of LaPorte. <br /> <br />If you would please sign the enclosed lease and then return it to <br />me, I will forward it to Austin. <br /> <br />There is one discrepancy noted in your letter of March 2, 1992. <br />Reverend Lewis and I discussed a full service lease at $.95 per <br />square foot. This was to include the lessor paying for all <br />utilities and janitorial services. Janitorial Services was <br />omi tted from your proposal but is included in the negotiated <br />contract. <br /> <br />John H.
