LATTIN <br />Director <br /> <br />Houston <br /> <br />Mr. Lattin is Director of Coopers & Lybrand's National Hospitality Industry Consulting <br />Group. The Group provides development guidance, financial advice, operational <br />management services and general consulting services to financial institutions, corporations, <br />law firms, public agencies and developers. <br /> <br />Mr. Lattin brings over 25 years of hotel operational and development experience to the <br />Firm. He served as President of a Houston based hotel corporation for seven years. During <br />that time, the company grew from two to twenty-five hotels including Marriott, Hilton, <br />Sheraton and Holiday Inn properties. Mr. Lattin was responsible for the operation of all <br />corporate managed hotels. Prior to joining Coopers & Lybrand, Mr. Lattin was the National <br />Director of Hospitality Industry Advisory Services for another major accounting and <br />consulting firm. <br /> <br />Mr. Lattin's consulting specialization includes: <br /> <br />. Operational counseling for owners and investors of hospitality real estate with <br />emphasis on marketing and cash flow improvement; <br />. Acquisition, disposition and financing of hotels and hospitality industry real estate; <br />. Negotiation of management, development and technical service agreements; <br />. Litigation services including expert witness testimony for hospitality industry related <br />cases; <br />. Strategic and organizational planning; <br />. Development consulting; and, <br />. Management information and operational control systems. <br /> <br />Mr. Lattin has lectured at Cornell University, the University of Houston, Michigan State <br />University, Florida International University and the Centre International de Glion in <br />Montreux, Switzerland. He has been a frequent speaker on hospitality industry subjects to <br />such organizations as Holiday Inns Worldwide, Hotel Ezra Cornell and the American Hotel <br />and Motel Association. He has authored articles published in the Cornell Ouarterly, is a <br />regular columnist for Hotel and Motel Management magazine and was a contributing editor <br />to Modern Hotel and Motel Management, third and fourth editions. Mr. Lattin is a <br />member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and also the International <br />Society of Hospitality Consultants (ISHC). He is a past president of the Cornell Society of <br />Hotelmen, Houston Chapter, and a former board member of the Houston Convention and <br />Visitors Bureau. <br /> <br />Mr. Lattin received both a B.S. and a Masters degree from Cornell University, School of <br />Hotel Administration and is a Certified Public Accountant. <br />
