Recommendation letter from the Planning and Zoning <br />Commission to the Mayor and City Council. <br />2. Staff Report. <br />3. Special Conditional Use Permit #SCU93-001. <br />SUMMARY & RECOMMENDATION <br />Summary: <br />Houston Shell & Concrete is seeking a Special Conditional Use <br />Permit (#SCU93-001) for 12803 Old La Porte Road. The property is <br />zoned Light Industrial. The purpose of the permit is to allow <br />construction and operation of a concrete batch plant. A <br />Conditional Use Permit is required for this business activity <br />within LI Zones. <br />The Planning and Zoning Commission considered this request at its <br />January 21, 1993, public hearing and regular meeting. The <br />Commission, by a unanimous vote of members present, has recommended <br />City Council approval of this permit, subject to the condition <br />noted on the letter of recommendation from Chairman Waters. <br />Staff, in accordance with Zoning Ordinance requirements, has mailed <br />public hearing notices to all properties located within 200 feet of <br />the tract in question. In the case of this request, notices were <br />mailed to three (3) property owners. As of Monday, February 15, no <br />replies have been received. Should any replies be received prior <br />to February 22, they will be presented to Council during the course <br />of the public hearing. <br />Recommendation: <br />Staff concurs with the Planning and Zoning Commission and <br />recommends City Council approval of Special Conditional Use Permit <br />#SCU93-001. <br />Action Required by Council: <br />1. Conduct Public Hearing. <br />2.
