<br />~ <br /> <br />~T FOR CITY COUNCIL AGEND~ <br /> <br />Agenda Date Requested: June 14. 1993 <br />Requested By: steve Gillett~~ Department: <br />Report Resolution <br /> <br />LPAWA <br /> <br />xxx x <br /> <br />Ordinance <br /> <br />Exhibits: 1993-94 La Porte Area Water Authority Operatorls Agreement <br />Ordinance No. 93-1915 <br /> <br />SUMMARY & RECOMMENDATION <br /> <br />The Agreement between the city of La Porte and the La Porte Area Water <br />Authority (LPAWA) for the operation and maintenance of the Authorityls <br />surface water transmission system will expire October 1, 1993. <br /> <br />The Board of Directors for the Authority approved the renewal of the <br />Agreement at the May 25, 1993 regular meeting. The Agreement was approved <br />concurrently with the 1993-94 LPAWA Budget, which will be considered by <br />Council during the cityls budget process. The Agreement is identical with <br />the terms and conditions of prior agreements, with the addition of a three <br />(3) year renewal option, subject to the approval of the Authority and the <br />City. <br /> <br />The Agreement provides for the payment to the city of La Porte of three <br />thousand three hundred and thirty three dollars and thirty three cents <br />($3,333.33) per month, for a total annual payment of forty thousand dollars <br />($40,000.00), for activity covered under the agreement. Any activity not <br />covered under the Agreement would be charged to the Authority at actual <br />cost.
