e e Minutes Regular Meeting La Porte City Council November 8, 1993, Page 9 city Attorney read: ORDINANCE NO. 1875-A - AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND ALLOWING, UNDER THE ACT GOVERNING THE TEXAS MUNICIPAL RETIREMENT SYSTEM, "UPDATED SERVICE CREDITS" IN SAID SYSTEM FOR SERVICE PERFORMED BY QUALIFYING MEMBERS OF SUCH SYSTEM WHO PRESENTLY ARE IN THE EMPLOYMENT OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE; FINDING COMPLIANCE WITH THE OPEN MEETINGS LAW; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. Motion was made bv CouncilDerson McLauahlin to adoDt Ordinance 1875-A as read by the City Attorney. Second by Councilperson Thrower. The motion carried, 8 ayes and 0 nays and 1 abstaining.
