<br />e <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />\ <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 93- 1946 <br /> <br />PAGE 6 <br /> <br />have an opportunity to be heard upon such proposal to annex the <br />territory described above, which two (2) public hearings shall be <br />held as follows, to-wit: <br />(1) In the City Council Chambers, city Hall, 604 W. Fairmont <br />Parkway, La Porte, Texas, at 6:00 P.M., on Monday, <br />November 29, 1993; and <br />(2) in the City Council Chambers, city Hall, 604 W. Fairmont <br />Parkway, La Porte, Texas, at 6:00 P.M., on Tuesday, <br />November 30, 1993. <br />section 4. The annexation proceeding of which notice of <br />intention to annex is given by this Ordinance shall be instituted <br />not less than twenty (20) days nor more than forty (40) days <br />subsequent to such public hearings. <br />section 5. The City Secretary of the City of La Porte is <br />hereby directed to cause notice of such public hearings to be given <br />by publication of this Ordinance in the Bayshore Sun, a newspaper <br />having general circulation in the City of La Porte and in the <br />territory proposed to be annexed, such publication to be made at <br />least once, not more than twenty (20) days nor less than ten (10) <br />days prior to the date of such public hearings. Additional notice <br />by certified mail shall be given to railroad companies serving the <br />city and on the City's tax roll where the right-of-way thereof is <br />included in the territory to be annexed. <br />section 6.
