C. <br />ATTORNEYS AT LAW <br />Please relate to City Council that both Mr. John Hightower and <br />myself recommend that the City of La Porte enter into this <br />Settlement Agreement. I would also like to take this opportunity. <br />to point out that the settlement documents attached to this letter <br />are totally consistent with the terms of the Settlement Agreement <br />entered into by and between the City of La Porte, the City of La <br />Porte Zoning Board of Adjustment, and Janet A. Stevenson, as <br />already approved by City Council at its meeting of February 12, <br />1996. Approval and signature on these documents represent a mere <br />formality. <br />If you have any questions or comments, please do not hesitate <br />to give me a call. I shall be unable to attend the meeting of <br />March 18, 1996, since I will be on vacation that day. Knox Askins <br />will be at the meeting, and will be available to answer any <br />questions or respond to any comments that you or City Council might <br />have. The original of the Settlement Agreement, signed by Ms. <br />Stevenson, shall be available at the Coucil Meeting on March 18, <br />1996. We shall have Ms. Stevenson's signature on the agreement <br />this week. <br />Thank you very much- for all of your courtesies and the <br />assistance you have rendered on this case.
