Truck Route Map <br /> <br />SUMMARY & RECOMMENDATION <br /> <br />Summary <br />The Planning & Zoning Commission, during its October 17, 1996, meeting, held a <br />public hearing to receive citizen comment regarding Rezone Request #R96-004. The <br />request, submitted by Robert C. Boncosky, the owner's agent, seeks to rezone a <br />portion of Blocks 1203 and 1204; Town of La Porte now known as Tract 1 K, <br />Johnson Hunter, Abst. 35, and a portion of Tract 37A & 37B, George B. McKinstry, <br />Abst. 47. The property in question is further described as being located in the 1700 <br />Block of South 16th Street, La Porte, Texas. The applicant seeks to have the <br />property zoned Planned Unit Development (P.U.D.) with a Special Conditional Use <br />Permit for a trucking operation with tank truck cleaning. The Commission <br />unanimously voted to recommend to Council, approval of the request. <br /> <br />In preparation for this public hearing, staff has satisfied all public notice requirements, <br />including a mailout to the owners of all properties located within 200 feet of the tract <br />in question. A total of 5 notices were mailed. If any replies are received, they will <br />be provided to Council at the November 11, public hearing. <br /> <br />Recommendation <br />The Planning & Zoning Commission, by unanimous vote, has recommended approval <br />of Rezone Request #R96-004. Staff concurs with the Commission's recommendation. <br /> <br />Action Required by Council: <br /> <br />1. Conduct a public hearing. <br />2.
