• <br />CITY OF LA PORTE, TX <br />CRS ACTTVrTY 510 <br />FLOODPLAIN MANAGEMENT PLAN <br />Set Goals <br />Community needs and goals were identified when the comprehensive plan was <br />adopted. Based on that plan, the following goals are used to guide the Floodplain <br />Management Plan: <br />1. Protect lives and property from the hazards of wind, storm surge, and rain. <br />2. Preserve the existing land use pattern. <br />3. Ensure continuous police, fire, ambulance, and other public services by <br />repairing and protecting all City structures. <br />4.
