• <br />Cloty of La Port(,; <br />Established 1892 <br />December 17, 1999 <br />Honorable Mayor Norman Malone and City Council <br />City of La Porte <br />Re: Rezone Request #R99-004 <br />Dear Mayor Malone: <br />The La Porte Planning and Zoning Commission, during its December 16, 1999, <br />meeting, held a public hearing to consider Rezone Request #R99-004. Mr. Charles <br />Whittenton, authorized representative for the property owner, Bernice Polly Whittenton, <br />is seeking this request for a 0.512 acre tract or parcel of land, more or less, out of the W. <br />P. Harris Survey, Abstract No. 30, and the L. T. Moody 14.484 acre tract out of the 200 <br />acre W. W. Ralston tract, Harris County, Texas. The said property, tracts 1A & 2A Block <br />A, Moody Lloyd T., is located along Sunrise Drive. The applicant seeks to have this <br />property rezoned for the development of a single-family dwelling. <br />On the recommendation of staff, the following properties will also be looked at as <br />a comprehensive rezoning in order to bring the area in compliance with the City's Zoning <br />Ordinance. <br />Moody Lloyd, T U/R: Lots 3,4, & 5 Blk A, Tracts 1 B&2B, Lots 1-5, Blk B. <br />A. No. 30, W. P. Harris: Tr 13C-1, 13C-2, & 13C-3 <br />Sunrise T/H, Sunrise Dr: Units 1-25, Bldg. I, II, & III. <br />Bay Colony Condos: Units A-L, Bldg. A, B, & C. <br />The purpose of the zone change is to create a Medium Density Residential (R-2) <br />zone for the entire aforementioned tracts, where Single -Family Residential (R-1) is a <br />permitted use per the Code of Ordinances. <br />The Planning and Zoning Commission, by unanimous vote, has recommended approval <br />of Rezone Request #R99-004. <br />Respectfully submitted, <br />Betty T.
