<br />e <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />INTERLOCAL COLLABORATIVE AGREEMENT <br /> <br />< Bayshore Equitable Access Community On-line Network> <br /> <br />STATE OF TEXAS, County of Harris <br /> <br />. <br />This Agreement is entered into by and between La Porte Independent School District, City <br />of La Porte, City of Shoreacres, City of Morgan's Point, Bayshore Chamber of Commerce, <br />Neighborhood Centers, Inc., San Jacinto College District, and Harris County Public Health <br />and Environmental Services (La Porte Health Clinic) hereinafter referred to as Bayshore <br />Equitable Access Community On-line Network (BEACON). <br /> <br />WITNESSETH <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the BEACON organization wishes to file a grant application with the <br />Telecommunications Infrastructure Fund Board, State of Texas, for funding in the amount <br />of $500,000 for Community Network 2 Implementation Grant, and <br /> <br />. WHEREAS, the BEACON organization has agreed to contribute the total of $169,500 in <br />matching funds/in-kind contributions if the said application is approved; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the source of funds would notnormally be used for this purpose; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the BEACON organization believes it to be in their best interests to join in the <br />application to develop a project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the BEACON organization agrees to accept the responsibility to adhere to all <br />pertinent federal, state, and local laws and TIF regulations; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this agreement certifies that the objectives of the grant application submitted <br />to the Telecommunications Infrastructure Fund Board have been reviewed and that it is <br />mutually agreed to cooperate to whatever extent is necessary in carrying out the work plan <br />described in the application; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this agreement certifies that it is understood by all of the participating entities <br />that it is the responsibility of the members of the collaborative to determine how to <br />disburse funds among the members, resolve grievances, and subcontract with other <br />organizations and individuals as needed. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY AGREED AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />ARTICLE I. PURPOSE <br />The purpose of this Agreement is to allow the BEACON organization to file an application <br />fOT a Community Network 2 Implementation Plan with the Telecommunications <br />Infrastructure Fund Board. <br /> <br />ARTICLE II.
