<br />-. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />, " <br />\ <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2004- / ~ <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZiNG PARTICIPATION IN THE TEXAS MAIN <br />STREET PROGRAM AND DESIGNATING THE CITY MANAGER TO <br />COORDINATE ALL PROGRAM ACTIVITIES; FINDING COMPLIANCE <br />WITH THE OPEN MEETINGS LAW; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE <br />DATE HEREOF. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, The Texas Main Street Program of the Texas Historical Commission has <br />been created to assist small cities to develop a public/private effort to revitalize their <br />"Main Street" area, and up to five Texas cities of any population will be selected to <br />participate in the Texas Main Street Program in 2005, <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF LA PORTE: <br /> <br />Section 1. That the City of La Porte apply for selection to participate in the 2005 <br />Main Street Program with the specific goal of revitalizing the central business district <br />within the context of the preservation and rehabilitation ofits historic buildings. <br /> <br />. Section 2.
