Garcia will speak on <br />the topic "Paving the Plan for Smart <br />Growth. .. <br />'The demographics are quickly. <br />changing in Precinct 2 and we must <br />begin to plan for these cfuinges~" <br />Garcia said. "This summit will pro- <br />vide all Precinct 2 stakehOlders a <br />venue to share opportunities and <br />challenges we are facing as they <br />pertain to economic development." <br />Dr. Bill Lindemann, San Jacinto <br />College chancellor, and Dr. Ken <br />Black, University of HoustOlllClear <br />Lake professor of decision sciences, <br />will share.. the stage:: focusingot'Fthe <br />area's demographics. in relation to <br />education; A question and imswer <br />session willfolfow. Lindemimnis <br />also serving as an economic .c;luster <br />group leader and will give an eCo-. <br />nomic report about education and <br />workforce. <br />Prior to . lunch, participants Will <br />break up into cluster groups to<lls- <br />cuss a legislative agehda andgthl.te- <br />. gic plans for the. economic success <br />of Precinct 2. Afterward, each facil- <br />itator will spends about 10 minutes <br />sharing feedback on the information <br />collected from the cluster groups. <br />The summit begins with a break:- <br />fast at 7:30 a.m. and a buffet lunch <br />being served at 11 :45 a.m. Anyone <br />interested in participating must <br />RSVP the Bay Area Houston <br />Economic Partnership by Friday, <br />Oct. 1.
