<br />*...@ <br />~. <br />I Texas Department of Transportation <br /> <br />November 2005 <br /> <br />NEWSLETTER <br /> <br />SH 146 Improvement Project <br /> <br />The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) is continuing its public outreach program for the proposed <br />improvements to SH 146 from Fairmont Parkway to SH 3. Newsletters and public announcements regarding this <br />project are issued to keep stakeholders and other interested parties informed about the project planning process. <br /> <br />Proiect Update <br /> <br />Fairmont Parkway to Red Bluff <br />. ,,_.'ii' <br /> <br />TxDOT received comments from the <br />public meetings held in December 2004 <br />regarding design alternatives in this segment of <br />the project. As a result of those comments, <br />TxDOT is proceeding with the environmental and <br />alternatives analysis process. <br /> <br />The next phase of public outreach will be a <br />public meeting specifically for the Fairmont <br />Parkway to Red .Bluff segment. TxDOT is asking <br />for public input On design features that are now <br />being considered. These features include two.. <br />alternatives for the Shoreacres Blvd/Choate ReI <br />_intersection, a grade separation at Red Bluff, <br />md direct connectors for Port Rd. <br /> <br />This meeting will be conducted to <br />present the alternatives <br />specificallyfor this segment only. <br /> <br />The publiC meeting will be held <br />on Thursday, December 8, 2005 <br />between the hours of 6:00 pm <br />and 8:00 pm at La Porte High <br />School, 301 E. Fairmont Pkwy, <br />La Porte, TX. The meeting will be <br />an open house format and the <br />public is invited to attend. <br />Exhibits will be displayed and <br />representatives from TxDOT and <br />their study team will be <br />available. <br /> <br /> <br />The next phase of public outreach will bea public meeting <br />specifically for the Fairmont Parkway to Red Bluff segment <br /> <br />How You Can Get Involved <br /> <br />The public is strongly encouraged to partidpate; there are many ways in which you can get involved. Please <br />complete a comment form at the next public meeting, call TxOOT and ask to be put on the mailing list, or <br />send a letter with your comments or concerns.
