Interlocal Water Service Agreement <br /> <br />Budgeted Item: _YES -X-NO <br /> <br />SUMMARY & RECOMMENDATION <br /> <br />The Port of Houston Authority has approached the City for temporary water service to provide <br />irrigation for proposed landscaping along the north bank of the Bayport Turning Basin. The area <br />in question is located immediately south of La Porte's southernmost city limits and within the <br />corporate limits of the City of Pasadena. <br /> <br />The Port's plan calls for 3 individual service connections; one at South Broadway, one at Tarpon <br />Lane and one at Bay Colony Drive (see Exhibit "A" ofInterlocal Water Service Agreement). <br />The duration of water service to the project site will be three (3) years beginning February 1, <br />2009 through January 31, 2012. <br /> <br />The Port of Houston Authority will pay a Water Service Agreement administrative fee of$5,000 <br />and will be limited to 30,000 gallons per day which is the limit of the City's policy. The <br />agreement shall be executed by the P011 of Houston Authority, the City of Pasadena and the City <br />of La Porte. <br /> <br />Action Required of Council: <br /> <br />Approve an ordinance authorizing the City Manager to execute an lnterlocal Water Service <br />Agreement with the Port of Houston Authority and the City of Pasadena for temporary water <br />se 'ce to the Port of Houston for a period of three (3) years. <br /> <br /> <br />/ <br /> <br /> <br />Ron Bottoms, City Manager <br />
