NOTICE OF SUPPLEMENTAL GENERAL AND SPECIAL CONDITIONS <br />Attention is particularly called to those parts of the contract documents and specifications which <br />deal with the following: <br />a. Survey, Permits and Regulations <br />b. Protection of Work and Property <br />c. Time of Completion and Liquidated Damages <br />d. Subsurface Conditions Found Different <br />e. Insurance <br />f. Separate Contract <br />g. Subcontracting <br />h. Photographs of the Project <br /> <br />16. ADDENDA AND INTERPRETATIONS <br />No interpretation of the meaning of the plans, specifications or other pre-bid documents will be <br />made to any bidder orally. Every request for such interpretation should be in writing addressed <br />to "City of La Porte, AUn: Purchasing Division, 2963 N. 23rd St., La Porte, Texas 77571" <br />and to be given consideration must be received at least three (3) business days prior to the <br />date fixed for the opening of bids. Any and all such interpretations or any supplemental <br />instructions will be in the form of written addenda to the specification. <br /> <br />Failure of any bidder to receive any such addendum or interpretation shall not relieve such <br />bidder from any obligation under his bid as submitted. All addenda so issued shall become <br />part of the contract documents. <br /> <br />The Owner further reserves the right to award the contract based on an adjusted base bid, <br />which shall consist of any combination of alternate bid items and bid items included in the base <br />bid. <br /> <br />17. SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION <br />A. All prices to be F.O.B., Destination, (City of La Porte), La Porte, TX 77571. <br /> <br />B. The City of La Porte is exempt from all taxes in the State of Texas, including sales tax. A <br />tax-exempt form will be provided upon request. <br /> <br />C. Use of brand names in specifications is descriptive and not restrictive, and any product of <br />equal quality will be considered. <br /> <br />D. All exceptions to the specifications and/or brand names must be so stated on the bid. <br /> <br />E. It is requested that vendors electing not to bid, submit a "NO BID" response in order to <br />remain on the bidder's list. <br /> <br />F. Items/Sections will be considered separately and may be awarded as such. <br />G. Quantities are estimates and may be increased or decreased at the discretion of the City of <br />La Porte. <br />
