On <br />January 14, 2008, the city council approved an agreement with Van De Wiele Engineering to <br />perform final design and bidding phase services for the Project. The Project was delayed due to <br />right-of-way issues between the County and private utility companies. The County recently gave <br />approval for the city to bid the Project. A total of six (6) bidders were prequalified for the <br />Project. Bids were received on February 4, 2010 with five (5) bidders responding. The <br />Engineers Recommendation and Bid Tabulation is attached. <br /> <br />Low bid was submitted by Angel Brothers Enterprises, Ltd. in the amount of$I,657,547.38. It is <br />recommended that the bid be awarded to Angel Brothers Enterprises, Ltd., and that an 8.5% <br />contingency of 142,452.62 be authorized. <br /> <br />Funds are available in Fund 03 for engineering and testing services.
