Assistant City Attorney Clark Askins read Ordinance 3251, AN ORDINANCE APPOINTING A MEMBER OF THE CITY COUNCIL TO SERVE AS MAYOR PRO-TEM OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE, FOR THE PERIOD JUNE 1, 2010 THROUGH MAY 31, 2011, FINDING COMPLIANCE WITH THE OPEN MEETINGS LAW, PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. Motion was made by Councilmember Zemanek to appoint Councilmember Leonard as Mayor Pro -Tern as presented by Mayor Beasley. Second by Councilmember Moser. Motion carried unanimously.
