Cost Estimate for Geotechnical Engineering Services 1 'rracn <br /> Drainage Ditch Improvements — Battleground Estates ® La Porte, Texas <br /> July 5, 2011 ® Terracon Document No. P91110112 <br /> Page 3 <br /> Geotechnical Engineering Report. The project will be supervised by a professional Geotechnical <br /> Engineer licensed in the State of Texas. Based on the results of our evaluation, an engineering <br /> report will be prepared which details the results of the testing performed and provides Boring Logs <br /> and a Boring Location Plan. The report will also provide Geotechnical Engineering <br /> recommendations which will address the following: <br /> • Groundwater Control; <br /> • Excavation and sideslope considerations; and <br /> Erosion protection considerations. <br /> Slope stability analysis will be performed using short -term, long -term, and rapid drawdown <br /> conditions in accordance with HCFCD requirements. We request that the client provide all <br /> applicable cross - sections and any other data relevant to the slope stability analysis. <br /> Schedule. We can initiate our field operations within three to five working days following <br /> authorization to proceed, if site access and weather conditions will permit. We anticipate completion <br /> of our services and submittal of our final report within about five weeks after completion of our field <br /> services. In situations where information is needed prior to submittal of our report, we can provide <br /> verbal information or recommendations for specific project requirements directly after we have <br /> completed our field and laboratory programs. <br /> C. COMPENSATION <br /> For the scope of work consisting of drilling footage of 140 feet, laboratory testing, and a report as <br /> outlined in this document, we estimate the following total costs. The estimated costs are presented <br /> in detail on the attached details of cost estimate. <br /> Task Cost Estimate <br /> Field Services $5,453.00 <br /> Laboratory Testing $5,281.00 <br /> Engineering Analysis & Reporting $4,950.00 <br /> Total Estimated Cost $15,684.00 <br /> The cost of our services for requested effort will not exceed this estimate unless the scope of <br /> services is modified with the approval of the client. <br /> Additional consultation (such as attendance on project meetings, conference calls, engineering <br /> analyses, review of project documents, etc.) requested will be performed on a time - and - material <br /> basis. The fee to provide additional consultation services will be invoiced in accordance with the <br /> Reliable i Responsive n Convenient 12 Innovative <br />
