Section specifies requirements for fertilizer in support of turf establishment. <br /> <br />1.2 MEASUREMENT AND PAYMENT <br /> <br />A. No separate measurement and payment is made under this Section. <br />Include the cost for the work under this Section in the related item listed on <br />the Unit Price Schedule. <br />B. Measurement and payment is as noted on the Unit Price Schedule. <br />C. Refer to Section 01270 - Measurement and Payment for unit price <br />procedures. <br /> <br />1.3 DELIVERY, STORAGE AND HANDLING <br /> <br />A. Deliver fertilizer in bags or containers clearly labeled with name and <br />address of the manufacturer, weight and guaranteed analysis. Bulk <br />fertilizer is acceptable if accompanied by an invoice or label with the name <br />and address of the manufacturer and guaranteed analysis and appropriate <br />means to accurately measure and record weight of fertilizer used. <br />B. Deliver fertilizer in clean, unopened and undamaged bags. <br /> <br />PART 2 - PRODUCTS <br /> <br />2.1 FERTILIZER <br /> <br />A. Provide commercial type fertilizer conforming to the fertilizer laws in effect <br />as regulated by the Texas Department of Agriculture. <br />1. Provide a pelleted or granulated fertilizer which has the specified <br />analysis. <br />2. The guaranteed analysis represents the percent nitrogen (total N), <br />percent water insoluble nitrogen (where applicable), percent phosphate <br />(citrate soluble Pas P205) and percent potash (water soluble K as K20) <br />nutrients as determined by the methods of the Association of Official <br />Analytical Chemists. <br />B. Use a complete fertilizer with an analysis ratio of 1 :2:2 (N:P:K), such as <br />10:20:20 with 50% of the nitrogen from sulfur coated urea (scu), or as <br />directed by the Engineer. <br />C.
