MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE FISCAL AFFAIRS COMMITTEE OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE Members Present: Chuck Engelken, Chair; Jay Martin; Brandon Lunsford Members Attending Remotely: None Members Absent: Rick Helton, alternate Council -appointed Officers Present: Corby Alexander, City Manager; Lee Woodward, City Secretary The Fiscal Affairs Committee of the City of La Porte met on March 10, 2025, at the City Hall Council Chambers, 604 West Fairmont Parkway, La Porte, Texas, at 4:30 p.m. 1. CALL TO ORDER - Chair Engelken called the meeting to order at 4:32 p.m. 2. CITIZEN COMMENT - There were no comments. 3. STATUTORYAGENDA a. Presentation, discussion, and possible action to approve the minutes of the January 27, 2025, meeting. [Lee Woodward, City Secretary/PIO] Member Martin moved to approve the minutes of the January 27, 2025, meeting; the motion was seconded by Member Lunsford; the motion was adopted, 3-0. 2024 ACFR - Presentation, discussion, and possible action to accept the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report for the City of La Porte Fiscal Year ended September 30, 2024. [Michael Dolby, Finance Director] Paula Lowewith Patillo, Brown, and Hill provided a review of the ACFR. She noted the City received an unmodified opinion, the highest remark possible, with no control issues, no weaknesses regarding financial statements and federal awards, and no reported significant deficiencies, nor instances of material noncompliance, and congratulated the City. Member Martin moved to accept the ACFR; Member Lunsford seconded the motion; the motion was adopted, 3-0, 4. ADMINISTRATIVE REPORTS -There were no reports. 5. SET DATE FOR NEXT MEETING -Mr. Dolby noted the next meeting was set for April 28.
