MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE <br />FISCAL AFFAIRS COMMITTEE OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE <br />Members Present: Chuck Engelken, Chair; Jay Martin; Brandon Lunsford <br />Members Attending Remotely: None <br />Members Absent: Rick Helton, alternate <br />Council -appointed Officers Present: Corby Alexander, City Manager; Lee Woodward, <br />City Secretary <br />The Fiscal Affairs Committee of the City of La Porte met on March 10, 2025, <br />at the City Hall Council Chambers, 604 West Fairmont Parkway, <br />La Porte, Texas, at 4:30 p.m. <br />1. CALL TO ORDER - Chair Engelken called the meeting to order at 4:32 p.m. <br />2. CITIZEN COMMENT - There were no comments. <br />3. STATUTORYAGENDA <br />a. Presentation, discussion, and possible action to approve the minutes of the <br />January 27, 2025, meeting. [Lee Woodward, City Secretary/PIO] <br />Member Martin moved to approve the minutes of the January 27, 2025, meeting; <br />the motion was seconded by Member Lunsford; the motion was adopted, 3-0. <br />2024 ACFR - Presentation, discussion, and possible action to accept the <br />Annual Comprehensive Financial Report for the City of La Porte Fiscal Year <br />ended September 30, 2024. [Michael Dolby, Finance Director] <br />Paula Lowewith Patillo, Brown, and Hill provided a review of the ACFR. She noted <br />the City received an unmodified opinion, the highest remark possible, with no <br />control issues, no weaknesses regarding financial statements and federal awards, <br />and no reported significant deficiencies, nor instances of material noncompliance, <br />and congratulated the City. <br />Member Martin moved to accept the ACFR; Member Lunsford seconded the <br />motion; the motion was adopted, 3-0, <br />4. ADMINISTRATIVE REPORTS -There were no reports. <br />5. SET DATE FOR NEXT MEETING -Mr. Dolby noted the next meeting was set for April <br />28. <br />
