<br />1 issued under this Act and their accrued interest. The authority <br /> <br /> <br />2 may sell the refunding bonds or notes and use the proceeds to retire <br /> <br /> <br />3 the outstanding bonds or notes issued under this Act or the authority <br /> <br />4 may exchange the refunding bonds or notes for the outstanding bonds <br /> <br /> <br />5 or notes. The issuance of the refund ing bonds or notes, the ir ma tur i ty, <br /> <br /> <br />6 the rights of the bondholders, and the duties of the authority with <br /> <br /> <br />7 respect to refunding bonds or notes are governed by the provisions <br /> <br /> <br />8 of this Act relating to original bonds or notes, to the extent that <br /> <br /> <br />9 they may be made appl icable. The author i ty may also refund any <br /> <br />10 bonds or notes under the provisions of any general laws of the State <br /> <br /> <br />11 of Texas. <br /> <br />12 J. After any bonds and notes, including refunding bonds and <br /> <br />13 notes, are authorized by the authority, the bonds and notes and the <br /> <br /> <br />14 record relating to their issuance shall be submitted to the Attorney <br /> <br /> <br />15 General of Texas for his examination as to their validity. If the <br /> <br /> <br />16 bonds and notes recite that they are secured by a pledge of the <br /> <br /> <br />1 7 revenues and rece ipts of a lease or leases or other con tract or <br /> <br /> <br />18 contracts previously made between the authority and any person, the <br /> <br />19 leases and contracts may also be submi tted to the Attorney General. <br /> <br /> <br />20 If the bonds or notes have been validly authorized and if the leases <br /> <br /> <br />21 or contracts have been made in accordance with the constitution and <br /> <br /> <br />22 laws of the State, the Attorney General shall approve the bonds or <br /> <br /> <br />23 notes and the leases or contracts and the bonds or notes shall be <br /> <br /> <br />24 registered by the Comptroller of Public Accounts. <br /> <br /> <br />25 K. After the bonds or notes, and the leases or other contracts, <br /> <br /> <br />26 if any are submitted, have been approved by the Attorney General, <br /> <br /> <br />27 and the bonds and notes have been registered by the Comptroller of <br /> <br />23 <br />
