<br />-- <br /> <br /> <br />CommunitylD@ <br /> <br />EXECUTIVE OVERVIEW <br /> <br />-- ---~--- -- ~ - --~--- --- ----~-~-~-------~------ - - -------~----- ---~------- --- ---- -------------------~-----~--------- <br /> <br />Buxton appreciates the opportunity to propose its services to the City of LaPorte. <br />The objective of this proposal is to summarize and outline the comprehensive scope <br />of work Buxton will provide as the City of LaPorte pursues its retail attraction and <br />expansion goals. Please note that in this proposal the term "retail" is inclusive of <br />restaurants. <br /> <br />Utilizing data, methods and proprietary technologies developed specifically for <br />matching retailers with communities; Buxton will assess the potential for the City of <br />LaPorte to recruit and expand its retail sector, and will identify and provide <br />marketing packages for specific retail targets. <br /> <br />Buxton's initial analysis of up to three (3) distinct retail locations, selected by the City <br />of LaPorte, will yield a recommendation of the site best positioned for retail <br />recruitment. With that recommendation, the City of LaPorte will make a final <br />determination of the retail site to be selected for retail matching. <br /> <br />Once the site for retail matching is determined, Buxton will compare the site's trade <br />area with the established locations of individual retailers. This analysis results in a <br />preliminary list of matched retailers. Only retailers with locations in trade areas <br />similar to the City of LaPorte's trade area will be identified as potential matches. The <br />preliminary list is then refined by Buxton on the basis of other retail location criteria <br />to yield a list of up to twenty (20) specific, matched retailers for the City of LaPorte. <br />Buxton will provide the list of matched retailers to the City of LaPorte for review and <br />discussion. <br /> <br />A marketing package will be prepared for each targeted retailer. The marketing <br />packages are intended for presentation to retailers, as well as developers, potential <br />franchisees, or other persons in a position to support the City of LaPorte's retail <br />goals. Each marketing package is unique to the specific targeted retailer, providing <br />compelling and precise information that demonstrates the City of LaPorte's <br />qualifications as a location. <br /> <br />Additionally, Buxton will contact each targeted retailer on behalf of the City of <br />LaPorte. Buxton will notify the retailer that the City of LaPorte has been identified as <br />a potentially viable location. <br /> <br />Following is an outline of the scope of work for this project.
