His firm's work has received multiple awards, including the North <br />Central Texas Council of Government's Excellence in Development Award for Sustainable Design and <br />the national Form-Based Codes Institute Inaugural Driehaus Award for Best Form-Based Code, and has <br />been featured in Urban Land, the magazine of the American Planning Association, and Planning, the <br />magazine of the American Planning Association. <br /> <br />Mr. Polikov received a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Texas, aJuris Doctor <br />from the University of Texas School ofLaWj and a Master of Science in Community and Regional <br />Planning from the University of Texas School of Architecture. <br /> <br />Jayashree Narayana, Project Manager, Gateway Planning Group <br />Roles: Urban Design, Comprehensive Planning, Zoning and Form-Based Code Development <br />jay@)gatewayplanning.com <br /> <br />Ms. Narayana joined the Gateway Planning team in the fall of2007 to provide planning and urban design <br />support to the town planning work undertaken by the firm. Her current work at Gateway Planning <br />includes preparing physical master plans and developing new market-based form-based and mixed use <br />zoning districts for Downtowns, Greenfield, and infill sites. <br /> <br />Prior to joining the Gateway Planning team, Ms. Narayana worked at various local governments in the <br />States of Texas, Kentucky. and North Carolina. During her 6 years of employment with the City of <br />Southlake, Texas, she was instrumental in the creation of the Downtown Zoning District regulations and <br />associated design guidelines to facilitate the development of Southlake Town Square as the community's <br />downtown with a mix of retail, office, entertainment, and residential uses. In addition, she was the lead <br />planner working on Southlake 2025 Plan, the city's 2005 comprehensive plan update and associated <br />ordinance amendments including creation of new mixed-use and conservation subdivision zoning <br />districts to implement the Plan. Many of the projects led by Ms. Narayana have been recipients of State <br />and Local planning awards including Texas AP A Current Planning and Comprehensive Planning Awards <br />and Midwest Texas AP A awards. <br /> <br />Prior to moving to Texas, Ms. Narayana was employed by the Louisville Development Authority <br />(LDA), City of Louisville, Kentucky. At LDA, Ms. Narayana worked on various projects involving <br />neighborhood, corridor, and downtown planning including urban design and zoning recommendations <br />including the creation of the city's first traditional neighborhood zoning district. <br /> <br />Ms. Narayana has a Bachelor's Degree in Architecture from the University of Bangalore, India, a <br />Master's Degree in Urban and Regional Planning from Virginia Tech, and a Master's Degree in Business <br />Administration from University of Texas at Arlington. Ms. Narayana is a member of the American <br />Planning Association (APA), American Institute of Certified Planners (AlCP), and the Congress for <br />the New Urbanism (CNU).
