Such placenlent creates <br />visual obstruction of oncoming pedestrian and vehicular traffic <br />for motorists ingressing and egressing from a place of business. <br />Portable signs also have a tendency to be blown about in strong <br />winds. Portable signs with electrical connections and <br />components, if improperly maintained, pose a :er•ious public <br />safety hazard. Therefore, portable signs shall conform to the on <br />premise sign regulations set forth in section 10-1000 of this <br />ordinance. <br />because they are not consistant with aesthetic values of tY.•E: <br />.•~ community and because they present unique safety problems. <br />LightweigY,t design and easy mobility of portable signs together <br />v~ith frequent use of electrical components create a potential for <br />extraordinary safety hazards.
