~,. <br /> <br /> running at large when said pigs are <br />• outside, and all other applicable <br />• sections of this chapter. <br />. • <br />(3) All potbellied pigs shall receive <br /> annual vaccinations for erysipelas. <br /> It shall be the responsibility of the <br /> owner or harborer of the potbellied <br /> pig to forward to the animal control <br /> supervisor an erysipelas vaccination _ <br /> certificate from a licensed veteri- <br /> narian which shall include the follow- <br /> ing information: <br />' a. Name and address of the pet owner; <br /> b. Name and address of licensed veter- <br /> inarian issuing certificate; <br /> c. Description and name of the pet; ' <br /> d. Date of vaccination; <br /> e. Tag number; and <br /> f. Other appropriate information. <br />(4) Should the potbellied pig die or be <br /> moved or acquire a new owner or <br /> harborer, it shall be the registered <br /> owner's duty to inform the animal <br /> control supervisor. <br />(5) a. No person shall keep any potbellied <br />. <br />~• pig at any location within the city <br />• unless such person has filed with <br /> the animal control supervisor an <br />` application to keep a potbellied <br /> pig, and such application has been <br /> approved by the animal control <br /> supervisor. The application must <br /> be accompanied by a check or money <br /> order for twenty dollars (S20.00), <br /> such check or money order represent- <br /> ing a nonrefundable fee for proces- <br />• sing of the application. <br /> b. It shall be an affirmative defense <br /> to filing an application that the <br /> potbellied pig is not yet weaned. <br />(6) For purposes of this section, the term <br /> 'potbellied pig' shall mean a variety <br /> of swine that is no more than eighteen <br /> (18) inches in height at shoulder <br /> level when full grown, has short erect <br /> ears and a straight tail, and under no <br /> circumstances shall any swine be <br />~ considered a potbellied pig if its <br />~ weight exceeds fifty (50) pounds. <br />SECTION 2. That the terms and provisions of this <br />ordinance shall be deemed to be severable and that if the <br />validity of any section, subsection, sentence, clause or phrase <br />• of this ordinan ce should be declared to be invalid, the same <br /> -2 - <br />
