Criteria for the design of sanitary sewer systems. , <br />B. This Chapter addr:esses the design of the sanitary sewer systems within the public right- <br />of-way or a dedicated public easement. Sanitary sewers located on private property, that <br />are not in a ded~cated easement, shall not be considered part of the publicly maintained <br />sanitary sewer system. <br />C. 'The public sanitary sewer, as maintained by' the City of La Porte, shall be dermed as aU <br />sewers that are located in public easements or street rights-of-Way, and that are"installed <br />in accordance with these standards. <br /> <br />4~02 D~SIGN REQUIREMENTS' <br /> <br />A. Drawings to be Furnished <br /> <br />1. Before any main or lateral sewer is constructed and before a permit \\rill be <br />issued for the construction, plan-and-profile sheets of the proposed sewer shall <br />be prepared and submitted to the City for approval. . . <br />, 2. These drawiilgs shall become the property of the City of La Porte and may be <br />, disseminated as deemed necessary after their approval to any affected party. <br /> <br />B.' Details to be Shown on Drawings: <br /> <br />, <br />) <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />The detailed drawings shall show the exact location of the proposed line in the <br />street, alley, or e~ment with respect to the edge of the particular right-of-way, <br />survey base line, any nearby utilities, 100-year flood elevation within the project <br />area, ~ajor landscaping, and other structures (above ground and below ground) <br />affecting construction. <br /> <br />C. Main and Lateral Sewers <br /> <br />, . <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />Sewers shall be identified by number, letter, or other identification as shown on <br />the sanitary sewer hlyout sheet and manholes identified by letter or number. <br />Sewers in curved easements, easements defined by prop~ lines, and combined <br />easements containing other public utilities must be shown in both plan and <br />profile views. ' , ' . <br />The profile shall show other underground and surface utilities and facilities, both <br />in parallel and at. crossings; the size, grade; and type of pipe of the proposed line, <br />the elevations of the' proposed line to the hundredths of a foot at manholes, <br />changes of grade, and dead ends; and the proposed fmished grade over the sewer <br />with elevations. Where proposed fill or cut is contemplated, the proposed new <br />ground line should be shown as a separate line from the actual, ground line. <br />Bedding and backfill shall comply with City of La Porte staridard specifications <br />and standard details where applicable. . <br />Where sewer!! are to be placed between existing paveme.nt l!11d the street right- <br />of-way line (or interior easement line) or under existing pavement, show the <br />.existing ground line at both sides (or the closest side for sewers near the edge) of <br />the right-of-way or adjacent sewer easement. <br /> <br />2. <br /> <br />3. <br /> <br />4. <br /> <br />, ' <br />D.
