<br />l~ <br />I' <br /> <br />(c) any benefit as consideration for a violation of a duty imposed by law on the <br />Director or officer. <br /> <br />Section 5. Nepotism. No Director or officer shall appoint, or vote for, or confirm <br />the appointment to any office, position, clerkship, employment or duty, of any person <br />related within the second degree by affinity (marriage relationship) or within the third <br />degree of consanguinity (blood relationship) to the Director or officer so appointing, voting <br />or confirming, or to any other Director or officer. This provision shall not prevent the ap- <br />pointment, voting for, or confirmation of any person who shall have been continuously <br />employed in any such office, position, clerkship, employment or duty at least thirty (30) <br />days-1 year prior to the appointment of the Director or officer so appointing or voting. <br /> <br />ARTICLE VIII <br /> <br />AMENDMENTS <br /> <br />A proposal to alter, amend, or repeal these Bylaws shall be made by the affirma- <br />tive vote of a majority of the full Board at any annual or regular meeting, or at any special <br />meeting if notice of the proposed amendment be contained in the notice of said special <br />meeting. However, any proposed change or amendment to the Bylaws must be <br />approved by the City Council of the City to be effective. <br /> <br />13 <br />
