CALL TO ORD.ER <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order by Mayor Pro-Tern Sutherland at 6:00 p.m. Mayor Pro-Tern <br />stated that a quorum of council was present. <br /> <br />Members of City Council Present: Mayor Pro-Tern Guy Sutherland, Councilpersons <br />Chuck Engelken, Bob McLaughlin, Alton Porter, Deetis Gay, Jack Maxwell and Jerry Clarke <br /> <br />Members of City Council Absent: <br /> <br />Mayor Norman Malone <br /> <br />Members of City Executive Staff and City Employees Present: City Attorney Knox Askins, <br />Acting City Secretary Rhonda L. Y ockov, City Manager Robert T. INVOCATION <br /> <br />Mayor Pro-Tem Guy Sutherland delivered the invocation. <br /> <br />3. CONSIDER APPROVING MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING APRIL 28, 1997 <br /> <br />Motion was made by Councilperson Maxwell to approve the minutes of Aoril 28. 1997. as <br />presented. Seconded by Councilperson Gay. The motion carried, 7 ayes, 0 nays. <br /> <br />Ayes: Councilpersons Engelken, McLaughlin, Porter, Gay, Maxwell, Clarke and Mayor Pro- <br />Tern Sutherland <br />Nays: None <br /> <br />4. PROCLAMATIONS <br /> <br />PUBLIC WORKS WEEK - MAYOR MALONE <br /> <br />Mayor Pro-Tern Guy Sutherland presented the Director of Public Works Steve Gillett with a <br />proclamation proclaiming the week of May 18 - 24, 1997 as Public Works Week.
