Agee, J.N. Johnson, <br />C.F. Norris, J.J. Roark, F.R. Ruff: City Attorney Kiibler, City <br />Seoretary Lambly. <br />Minutes of the lest meeting were read and approved. <br />i <br />Audit Motion by Agee, second by Johnson, that the audit of the City's <br />books by Learned & Tapp be accepted and bill of X135.00 be ap- <br />proved. <br />Carried• <br />Salaries Motion by Ruff, second by Norris, that the City Secretary be in- <br />structed to pay the monthly salaries as far as the funds will per- <br />mit. <br />Carried. <br />FAA The Mayor reported on the telegrams which. had been sent to our <br />Representatives on the FHA defense housing, by reading a let~er <br />from A.C. Ford, District Director of FHA, statiag that La Porte <br />could not be designated as a Defense Area. This letter was ord- <br />ered placed on file. <br />Warrants Motion by Agee, second by Ruff, that the following warrants in <br />the amount of X17.23 be ratified: 4383, J.W. Davis,~2.00; 4384 <br />W.F.. Vickers,~2.63;4385,Ed Morris,~1.1~0;1.~388,J.W.Davis,~3.20;1.389, <br />Geo. Simon,~8.00. <br />Carried. <br />Mot~.on by Ruff second by Agee, that the bill for the audit be paid <br />when funds are available. <br />Carried. <br />H.R.458 Motion by Ruff, second by Agee, that the City Attorney be instructed <br />to write our representatives on House Bill No. 458, which has to do <br />with fixing the minimu~a wage to be paid for salaries of firemen and <br />policemen. <br />Carried <br />Spencer Motion by Ruff, seoond by Johnson, that the condition of the sewer <br />sewer at the Wilma H.
