Lambly. <br />Minutes of the last meeting were read and approved. <br />Timmons ?:otion by Roark,second by Agee, that the City Secretary be author- <br />Refund ized to make the refund of ~~11.53 due ti=rs F.L. Timmons on her de- <br />posit made to cover cost of installation of water line to her pro- <br />perty in Block 157, La Porte. <br />Carried. <br />,i't.G. r=otion by Roark, second by Agee, that the balance due ~'~orthington- <br />I~ieter do Garcon Peter Co. in the amount of ~~71.16 be paid. <br />Carried. <br />r3ote & P:iotion by Johnson, second by Agee, that the note of X500.00 plus <br />int interest for ninety days, due on November 2~th by the City to the <br />First Pdational Bank of La. Porte, be ordered paid. <br />C~rried~ <br />""arrant motion by Roark, second by Johnson-, that °tarrant x.010 to Boy A. <br />Hunt in the amo~..zrit of X35.00, issued in lieu of his regular va- <br />cation, be ratified. <br />Carried. <br />Lond The City Secretary reported that the Surety Bond for Assistant Sec- <br />retary George Iseasee,Jr. in the amount of X1,000.00 had been re- <br />ceived and filed and that the Bond of former Assistant Secretary <br />Roy A .~iunt had been returned to the Company. <br />2e'Iayor Sharp came into the meeting at this point. <br />rollowing a sus~~estion by City ~ittorney Kiibler, the Council mem- <br />bers entered into a full discussion of the proposed r~lectrical <br />Ordinance, as to fees, license, penalties, bond, also requirements <br />made by other towns adjacent to 1.a Porte. <br />Prize The matter of the City's annual donation of prize money to the La <br />"coney Forte ':~olunteer Fire Dept. for the best ranking Firemen, was pre- <br />sented. l:'Iotion by Agee, second by Roark, that the Mayor and City <br />Secretary be authorized to draw a i~arrant for "100.00 in favor of <br />the La Porte Volunteer Fire Department to be used as prizes to <br />the best ranking firemen,. of the past year. <br />Carried. <br />over <br />
