<br />Meeting was called to order by ",Iayor Sharp,-with the foL owing Aldermen
<br />responding to roll call: C.?°. Agee, P.L. Benson, ''.R. Boyle, F.R. Ruff.
<br />n.2inutes of the last meeting were read and approved.
<br />Charge off A letter addressed to the Council fro*~ the City Secretary was read,
<br />$202.29 in which it was stated that the account o.f X202.2$, charged to J.L.
<br />Dunham on the City books should be charged off before the books are
<br />closed for tI^.e fiscal year ending Parch 31,1.938. This is based on the
<br />Council action of April 10,1933.

<br />Ba.yshore '~'~•~:T. Barnes addressed the Council in behalf of the property owners
<br />Park Wn Bayshore Park, in regard to the mineral rights as connected with
<br />Dedication the dedication of the streets of that Brea to the City. A letter
<br />fror: City Attorney Kiibler addressed to the Council in reference to
<br />this matter,was read, follrnving which Ald. Boyle offered a motion,
<br />second by Agee, that the dedicatie~~. of the streets of Bayshore Park
<br />by the property owners, to the City of La Porte, be accepted and
<br />filed with the County Glerk. Carried.
<br />Fids Ald. Benson announced that bids had been asked on file cleaning of
<br />Imhoff the Imhoff Tanl; at the ~~isposal plant and that one sealed bid had
<br />Zank been received from Rr E.L. Thomas of Hcuston and that R4r L. Grugan
<br />of Houston was present to make a verbal bid. I~':r Grugan wa.s called
<br />before the Council and made the following verbal bid:
<br />L. Grugan : lj cents per cubic foot.
<br />The bid of ;.F.. Thomas was opened after I,Ir Grugan retir. ed from the
<br />Council room, it was as follows: 'p1~.0.00 total price
<br />a:Iot~ or} by Benson, second by .Agee, that E.?~.. Thomas be awarded the job
<br />of clearing the Imhoff Tank on his low bid of '"1.0.00 provided he is
<br />willing. to sign the contract as dratv~~ by the City Attorney. Cp.:ried
<br />I~r Benson was instructed by the Council to contact "_~''r Thomas.
<br />Bids The ARayor annotmced that bids on fire hose, which he had requested,
<br />Fire Aose had been received, and asked that the representatives of the Fire
<br />Hose Gompanies be called before the Council before the bids were
<br />opened. The following Companies had submitted bids and. their rep-
<br />resentatives were called in; Teas Belting; ~.: ~:upply Co-'!ahaattan hose,
<br />B.~'. Goodrich Dubber Ce., AmeriIIan La France ?c ^oa~nite Co., Eureka
<br />Fire Hose~iv. After these gentlemen had retired from the Council
<br />room the bids were opened with th zfoll~wing results: Teas Pelting A
