Dahse and Joe ?doore to <br />act as peace officers at Sylvan Beach Park, without compensation. <br />Carried. <br />Extending Ordinance ado. 269, being an 9rdinance providing for extension of <br />Sewer City Sewer Lines, providing for the payment of cost of such ex- <br />tension by the City and the Applicants anJ. declaring an emergency, <br />was read. <br />P:'Iotion by Agee, second by Roark, that Ordinance No. 269 be passed <br />as read. Carried. <br />Letter ~.Zotion by Ruff, second by Agee, that the City Attorney ~e instruct- <br />School ed to write a letter to the Architect and Contractor of the School <br />Permits Gymnasium and Elementary Buildings and to the School Board of the <br />La Porte Independent School district advising them that they must <br />furn~sh and place on file at the City Hall, the plans and specifica- <br />tions for the Gymnasium and ~'lementary Buildings and must take out <br />1~uilding,Electrical, Sewer and Plumbing Permits for these buildingsi <br />mot later than Thursday noon, Tray 26,1938. Carried, <br />sire Hose alderman Boyle reported that the Fire Hose recently purchased from <br />the Eureka FirQ Hose Division had arrived, been insgected, accepted <br />and placed on the fire ~triacks in good order. <br />Plumbg. A~lotion by Ruff, second by Agee, that the City Plumbing and Sewer In- <br />'~• Sewer peetor be instructed not to make any tap to the City Sewer Lines or <br />approve any sewer installation until the ~~ouse plumbing has been <br />roughed in. _._ Carried. <br />Inspector City Engineor L.L. Price appeared before the Council and repoz~ted <br />Enforce that in two instances recently brought to his attention in the in- <br />Ord. stallation of plumbing and sewer connection the City Ordinance had <br />not been complied with. The Council instructed Price to enforce the <br />Sewer and Plumbing Ordinance, <br />Eq. Board Ordinance No. 270 was read, being an Ordinance providing that the City <br />1938 Council shall act as the Board of equalization for the year 1938, fix- <br />ing the times of the meetings of such Board, providing that the City <br />Secretary shall act as Secretary of such Hoard and declaring an emer- <br />gency. <br />:.lotion by Ruff, second by Agee, that Ordinance No. 270 be passed as <br />read.
