Fannie Kempner Adou amounting <br />to X23.72 vrhich represents taxes paid on city property <br />on which others had also paid taxes and asking f'or refund. <br />Ald. Counts offered a motion vrhich teas seconded by Ald. <br />Agee that the City Sec' y, check up on the account and <br />report back to the council at the next regular meeting. <br />Carried. <br />The Sec' y. read a communication from Joseph ulough asking <br />for a reduction in his vrater rate on account of using a <br />small amount of vvater. The matter eras refered to the 'dilater ~i~, <br />Committee by a mation made by Ald. Agee and second by Ald. ~~5~~~, <br />Boyle. <br />By a motion made by Ald. Boyle and second by Ald. Roark <br />the city Sec' y. was instructed to conforrrr to the present <br />rate - of penalties for delinquent taxes unti 1 further <br />orders from the council. <br />Ald. Counts notified the council that J K Yurifoy had <br />closed the entrance to the community pi or at the south end ~~=~3s+E~ <br />of Lobit St. with a gate and eras requiring a twenty five cent <br />fee for entrance t o the pier . ~ a moti on by Ald. Boyle and~,•~•~~~ <br />secon d by Ald. Counts the City Atty. eras instructed to <br />' investigate the legality of such a move and report his find- <br />ing to the City Sec' y. who will write to Ls. Purifoy. <br />Carri ed ~~ <br />On motion by Ald. Holton and second by Ald. Counts the <br />assistant to the Sec' y. was granted an increase of w~25.00 <br />per month in her salas8. ' <br />Carried .~ <br />Upon motion by A1d. Agee and second by AId. Counts the <br />appointment by the mayor of F UJ Reynolds, Frank Dorgan and <br />Le i~oy Tolle on the Board of Ec uali zati on was approved . <br />Upon motion by Ald. Holton and second by Ald. Boyle the <br />Budget for 1935 was approved as amended. <br />Ald. Agee made a ration which was seconded by Ald. Boyle <br />that the City Attorney draft an ordinance to replace <br />Ordinance ~ 166 providing fora dog tax and 'Ghe impounding <br />for observation of any dog that has bitten a person. <br />Carried. <br />Upon motion by ALD. Foyle and second by Ald. Holton the <br />City marshal was instructed to contact i:,r. C ~ Ulstad <br />and request that he allow his dog that had bitten on• <br />of the Casteel children to be iu~pounded for observation. <br />Carried.. <br />
