ORDINANCE NO. 2012 - <br />AN <br />012 - <br />AN ORDINANCE APPOINTING A PRESIDING JUDGE AND ALTERNATE JUDGES FOR <br />THE MUNICIPAL COURT OF RECORD IN THE CITY OF LA PORTE, FOR A TERM <br />OF FOUR YEARS? PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE] CONTAINING A <br />REPEALING CLAUSE? FINDING COMPLIANCE WITH THE OPEN MEETINGS LAW? <br />CONTAINING A REPEALING CLAUSE? AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE <br />HEREOF. <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE: <br />Section 1. The City Council of the City of La Porte hereby <br />appoints Denise C. Mitrano as the Presiding Judge of the Municipal <br />Court of Record in the City of La Porte. <br />Section 2. The City Council of the City of La Porte hereby <br />appoints John Morgan as Alternate Judge of the Municipal Court of <br />Record in the City of La Porte. <br />Section 3. The City Council of the City of La Porte hereby <br />appoints Richard Risinger as Alternate Judge of the Municipal Court <br />of Record in the City of La Porte. <br />Section 4. The City Council of the City of La Porte hereby <br />appoints J.L. Jay as Alternate Judge of the Municipal Court of <br />record in the City of La Porte. <br />Section S. The City Council of the City of La Porte hereby <br />appoints Dick Gregg III as Alternate Judge of the Municipal Court <br />of Record in the City of La Porte. <br />Section 6. Each of the above appointees shall serve for a <br />term of four (4) years, effective October 1, 2012, and expiring on <br />September 30, 2016, and shall receive compensation as may be fixed <br />by City Council. <br />Section 7. If any section, sentence, phrase, clause or any <br />part of any section, sentence, phrase, or clause, of this ordinance <br />shall, for any reasons, be held invalid, such invalidity shall not <br />
