Page 2 <br />WHEREAS, at the La Porte Planning and Zoning Commission meeting which occurred <br />on September 20, 2012, the La Porte Planning and Zoning Commission heard a Final Draft <br />Comprehensive Plan Update for the purpose of considering all the components of, and proposed <br />amendments to, the Comprehensive Plan; and considered the report on update of the <br />Comprehensive Plan; <br />WHEREAS, after due consideration of the comments made by the various departments <br />together with the recommendations of the City of La Porte Planning Department staff presented at <br />the said September 20, 2012, Planning and Zoning Commission meeting, the Planning and <br />Zoning Commission has recommended to the City Council of the City of La Porte an update to <br />the Comprehensive Plan. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE, TEXAS, THAT: <br />Section 1 That an update to the Comprehensive Plan of the City of La Porte with <br />this Ordinance, and which is incorporated by reference herein, be and is hereby authorized, <br />approved, and adopted by the City Council of the City of La Porte, after duly noticed public <br />hearings held at its October 22, 2012 and November 12, 2012 meetings, pursuant to the <br />recommendations of the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of La Porte,. <br />Section 2 The City Secretary of the City of La Porte or her designated <br />representative will be required to make this document available to public the Comprehensive Plan <br />and duly mark and note update reference on the Comprehensive Plan of the City of LaPorte. <br />Section 3 The City Council officially finds, determines, recites and declares that a <br />sufficient written notice of the date, hour, place and subject of this meeting of the City Council <br />was posted at a place convenient to the public at the City Hall of the City for the time required by <br />law preceding this meeting, as required by the Open Meetings Law, Chapter 551, Texas <br />Government Code; and that this meeting has been open to the public as required by law at all <br />
